Structural Steel Detailing

Structural steel detailing is the core of what Tectonix does. We build a full 3D Tekla Structures model of your project, develop fabrication-friendly connections from the EOR's design intent, and extract complete shop and erection drawing packages your shop can fabricate from without holds. Every package is QA-checked in our U.S. office before it reaches your inbox.

What's Included

Inside a Structural Scope

Complete shop and erection drawing packages for primary structural steel — columns, beams, bracing, trusses, and connections — produced in Tekla Structures to AISC standards.

Shop Drawings

Piece mark drawings, assembly drawings, and fitting details with every weld, bolt, and dimension accounted for down to 1/16th of an inch.

Erection Drawings

Framing plans, elevations, column schedules, and connection sequencing drawings that give erectors everything they need in the field.

Anchor Bolt Plans

Anchor bolt setting plans and base plate details coordinated with the foundation contractor and equipment vendors before concrete pours.

Connection Development

Practical, fabrication-friendly connections developed from the Engineer of Record's design loads and intent — prioritizing shop efficiency and ease of erection.

Advanced Bill of Material

ABM extracted directly from the Tekla model for early mill orders, so you can lock in material pricing before drawings are complete.

RFI & Revision Management

A live revision log on every project. Your U.S. project manager batches RFI responses and tracks every drawing's status through the submittal cycle.
