Custom Report Configuration
Tekla's report system uses templates that can be customized for shop-specific output formats. If your shop's ERP system requires a specific column order, field names, or file format (CSV, XLSX, XML), Tekla can typically be configured to produce it. This setup is a one-time configuration task per shop. Provide your detailer with a sample of your required report format — they can match it in Tekla's report template editor.
Accuracy Requirements for Reports
All Tekla reports are only as accurate as the model. A member with an incorrect material grade produces a BOM entry with the wrong grade; a bolt with the wrong diameter in the model produces a bolt list with the wrong bolt. The model QA/QC process — verifying grades, checking hole diameters, confirming piece mark assignments — is what makes Tekla's reports reliable. Never use reports from an unreviewed model for purchasing or production decisions.
